“No matter how much you craved or wanted to change who you were or where you came from, you always brought a part of that past with you” – Landed on Black by Zach Fortier
Change is a good thing. Well………………not always and not completely.
Our general disposition as well as our emotional and physical health have been taking some serious hits these past few weeks.
Several days ago our sour mood took a turn with the news that GGS’s bid won the Conoco contract.
I did not realize how negatively that dark cloud of uncertainty had effected my emotional and physical health until, with the good news, a sense of well-being slowly but inexorably gained control of me and as it did the depth of my morose became clear.
Suddenly life is good again and I have a spring in my step.
But, there is a caveat. Isn’t there always?
With the new contract comes change. FRC’s – Guard Shacks – just to name a few.
Why must there always be a catch?
Our change was not as drastic as the other guy’s. We still have a job. Life is good. And changing.
