Nature run amuck

We are enjoying the final days of our mini vacation here at Caney Creek Corps Park on the Oklahoma side of Lake Texoma.

It is one of our favorite places to rest and unwind.

This summer, the park was closed 5/15 through 7/31 due to flooding. Our particular site was under at least 15 feet of water as the Red River ran amuck.

You’d have to be here to get a real sense of just how unbelievable that flooding was. Nature unleashed is truly frightful.
