“Ever wonder about those people who spend $2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian? Try spelling Evian backward.” – George Carlin
Sometimes you pick up on a word or phrase you hear or read. It’s catchy and fun to use. “That’s what I’m talkin about” comes to mind. It’s used until the novelty wears off and it becomes irritating. Stuff like that.
Lately I’ve been getting a lot of “Bossman” this and “Bossman” that.
Seems like every greeting begins and ends with “Bossman”. I have no idea when this got started much less why. It’s one of those insidious words or phrases that creeps into a vocabulary and leaves you scratching your head.
Anyway folks……………….I have a dilemma……………..
How to get my wife to quit referring to me as “Bossman” but remain respectful of my status as the boss.
Not a crisis for the ages but a crisis nonetheless.
“Some, the lucky ones, found the church, though they could kill you with their sanctimonious baloney. But the point is, with men, real life was never enough.” From “Missing You” by Harlen Coben
